Job Summary:
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practice Clinical Leader to join our team in the Psychosis Recovery and Treatment (PRT) Service, Clinical Care. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and recovery of patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in clinical care.
- Collaborate with the services' Advanced Practice Clinical Leader team to develop and implement models of care.
- Role model clinical practice in complex care situations and engage in direct care activities for high-risk clients.
- Support interprofessional collaborative care, academic, and research opportunities.
- Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety.
- Supervise graduate students and provide clinical guidance and support.
- Participate in program planning and evaluation, and support integrated care pathways to enhance patient outcomes.
- Play an active role on internal and external committees and serve as a clinical resource in service-level and organizational-level strategic planning activities.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in a regulated health discipline and membership in good standing with the regulatory body.
- 5 years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment.
- Demonstrated understanding of complex psychiatric and physical health needs of the clinical population.
- Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health or other relevant certification are an asset.
- Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous advanced practice/administrative/academic scholarship.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching, and computer skills.
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
