Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Aid Officer to join our team at North American Trade Schools. As a key member of our enrollment services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to students and families navigating the financial aid process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Implement new administrative procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial aid processing
    • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Delegate work to office support staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Financial Aid Processing
    • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
    • Carry out administrative activities related to financial aid processing, including data entry and report preparation
    • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Student Support
    • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, including accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services
    • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
    • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Team Collaboration
    • Train staff on financial aid procedures and policies
    • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
    • Resolve conflict situations and provide exceptional customer service
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Work Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Basic security clearance
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Time management and organizational skills
