Position Overview

As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing enterprise-wide data and analytics solutions. Your responsibilities will include the design, development, documentation, and testing of BI solutions. You will collaborate closely with internal business units, IT functional analysts, and the BI development team. Your duties will encompass creating, overseeing, and ensuring the quality of BI solutions while enforcing governance across the BI solutions portfolio. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide training, mentorship, and support to junior staff, ensuring projects and tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and deliver data management and analysis solutions utilizing visualization tools such as Tableau and Snowflake.
  • Support essential business processes, including Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in BI tools and technologies, translating business requirements into technical specifications and implementing effective solutions.
  • Mentor and assist other BI Analysts within the team.
  • Oversee projects and tasks from inception to completion with precision and efficiency.
  • Develop, document, and train users on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Translate business logic into SQL code.
  • Create technical specifications for data flow and transformation processes.
  • Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and solution testing to ensure deliverables meet established SDLC and PMO guidelines.
  • Participate in the formulation of data cleansing protocols for the organization.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues and collaborate cross-functionally with finance teams.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in SQL query development.
  • Experience with data warehouse methodologies.
  • Proven track record in leading BI project implementations.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
  • Experience in providing end-user support.
  • Proficient in writing process and technical documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, whether local or remote.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Fluent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Business Intelligence Specific Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse solutions (Snowflake or similar).
  • Experience with business reporting tools such as Qlikview and Tableau.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend).
  • Ability to create schematics using tools like Visio or Lucid Chart.
  • Strong understanding of business processes including order to cash, manufacturing, and finance distribution.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or equivalent is a plus.
