Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting complex data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development of prototypes and proof-of-concepts throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in data using data profiling techniques.
  • Support the development team by defining and refining feature specifications.
  • Apply data modeling principles to support business requirements.
  • Develop test strategies, produce test cases, and participate in testing at various stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on security strategies and roles applicable to the product.
  • Lead functional efforts to identify opportunities for improving the overall quality of the product.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-9 years of relevant experience in business intelligence analysis and development in a Business Intelligence Analyst/Analytical role.
  • Strong knowledge of business needs identification, defining and documenting functional specifications (Epics and User Stories) for the development team using Agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis from multiple sources and making recommendations to stakeholders (development team and/or clients).
  • Strong knowledge of documentation and writing.
  • Good knowledge of analytical skills in cloud-based environments.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft BI tools, including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MDX, Power BI, DAX, and Excel.
  • Autonomy, client-centric, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Spark or Python (Asset).
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Xray (Asset).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Asset).
