Position Overview

What is the role?

The Franchise Sales Support Specialist collaborates closely with the Senior Franchise Director to generate reports, manage franchise inquiries, and maintain a comprehensive database of potential franchisees. This position also involves participating in franchise exhibitions and working alongside the marketing team to execute franchise promotional strategies. The role includes the distribution of essential franchise documentation and disclosure materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and disseminate franchise disclosure documents for Pet Valu Canada Inc. and Bosley's Pet Food Plus.
  • Organize and maintain a filing system for franchise applications, disclosure acknowledgments, and deposit confirmations.
  • Compile and distribute franchise information packages to prospective franchisees while keeping the database of leads updated.
  • Regularly update the list of available franchise locations on the corporate website.
  • Generate reports for the Senior Franchise Director as required.
  • Coordinate point-of-purchase requests for retail locations through the Marketing department on a quarterly basis, including drafting internal communications regarding promotional contests.
  • Explore and assess innovative marketing strategies for franchise opportunities across Canada.
  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries from potential franchisees and the public, representing Pet Valu professionally.

Qualifications for Success

Education and Experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree, ideally in Liberal Arts or a Business-related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an office setting.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Proficient in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding written communication skills.
  • Effective public speaking skills with the ability to create compelling presentations.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access, with demonstrated skills in mail merge, data importation, column filtering, and database querying.
