Flight Centre Travel Group is on the lookout for a skilled Salesforce Developer who has demonstrated success in executing impactful transformation initiatives. In this role, you will be integral to the enhancement of our Salesforce ecosystem, aligning it with business objectives and fostering outstanding user experiences. Having recently overhauled our legacy Salesforce system, which has been in place for over 15 years, our current focus is on maximizing value through technology while further internationalizing our workforce and processes. The Salesforce-enabled business processes encompass a wide range of functions, including Marketing, Sales, Implementations, Account Management, Operations, and Support. We have also rolled out an Omni Channel solution that is vital for our operations and customer interactions, utilizing Service Cloud and set to expand with features like Service Cloud Voice, Einstein, GPT, and integrations with other essential platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Design and Development Oversight: Collaborate with Solution Architects and the Development team to provide comprehensive oversight, guidance, and governance encompassing frameworks, tools, strategies, optimization, and security.
  • Salesforce Development: Leverage your expertise to architect, develop, test, and deploy Salesforce solutions that address business needs. Engage with stakeholders, including Business Analysts and Product Managers, to convert functional specifications into technical design documents.
  • Transformation Projects: Actively engage in transformational initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and optimizing Salesforce functionalities. Your capacity to pinpoint improvement areas and deliver effective solutions will be essential.
  • Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Exhibit a thorough understanding of the SDLC by adhering to best practices throughout the development lifecycle. You will oversee code versioning, conduct code reviews, and ensure the quality and security of all Salesforce developments.
  • Manage DevOps: Utilize your DevOps expertise to integrate and manage Salesforce deployments within the broader technology landscape. Collaborate with the Development team to streamline deployment processes, automate workflows, and ensure continuous integration and delivery.
  • System Integration: Work alongside other development teams to integrate Salesforce with external systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Technical Support: Provide Level 3 technical support to our Level 1 and Level 2 support teams for more complex issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical specifications, configurations, and customizations to promote knowledge sharing and efficient project management.
  • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry best practices to proactively suggest enhancements and innovative solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development, focusing on customizations and complex projects.
  • Transformation Projects: Proven experience in leading transformational projects and driving positive change within Salesforce implementations.
  • SDLC: In-depth knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Agile methodologies.
  • DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps principles, tools, and best practices for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Integration Experience: Solid understanding of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies such as REST, SOAP, and middleware platforms.
  • Travel Industry Experience: Familiarity with the travel industry is considered an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs. Experience with additional programming languages is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and end users. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide Level 3 support.
