Job Overview

At Transat Distribution Canada, we're seeking a skilled Travel Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers plan and book their dream vacations.

Responsibilities

* Advise clients on travel options offered by our various partners
* Network and promote new travel business and grow your repeat client base
* Meet established monthly and yearly sales and revenue targets
* Quickly determine specific client needs and source solutions using all tools available
* Sell travel packages in all product categories, including the preparation of complex itineraries using various booking platforms
* Be alert to changing trends and customer needs, adapting services to meet client requirements even in challenging circumstances

Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years sales experience within a retail environment and consistently meet sales targets
* Ability to influence through effective sales and prospecting techniques while building friendly and positive business relationships
* Advanced communication skills combined with an outgoing and energetic nature
* Experience leveraging social media and learning new software quickly
* Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule, available to work outside of normal business hours to attend trade shows, conventions, and business events
* Willingness to obtain TICO or OPC certification if not already held
