Role Overview:

As the Manager of Financial Strategy for People Operations, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical responsibilities on a global scale for People Operations. This position will also provide financial guidance for the costing and management of People-related programs and initiatives within the HR Operations Center of Excellence.

Success in this role will require close collaboration with leaders in the People Operations Department and the establishment of strong partnerships with Finance teams at the corporate level and across various business divisions. You will support the People Operations team in effectively managing the budget and driving operational improvements that enhance efficiency and accuracy across the organization, while analyzing global expenditures and identifying opportunities for alignment.

This position is integral to the success of our People Operations team and will report to the Senior Director of HR Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts, preparing detailed cost center expenditure reports and overseeing invoices for all People Operations cost centers, along with consolidated reporting of total People expenditures across the Mark Anthony Group of Companies.
  • Actively engage in the annual short/long-term incentive and salary review processes, including financial analysis, reporting, and project support.
  • Assess the financial implications of People programs, supporting daily operations, conducting monthly reconciliations, monitoring actual costs against plans, and performing financial analyses as required.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Finance, IT, and People Operations Centers of Excellence to ensure seamless integration with financial systems and optimization of business processes.
  • Deliver operational reports, including headcount metrics and Quarterly Business Review summaries.
  • Assist with financial analyses of special projects within People Operations and lead initiatives for process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting designation is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of relevant finance experience, with proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, forecasting, and month-end processes.
  • Previous experience with benefits-related costing and budgeting is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale projects across various functions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, business divisions, and geographical locations; experience in a matrix organization is beneficial.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and capability to navigate system reporting.
  • Strong business systems thinker with a solid understanding of business processes.
  • Proven ability to work in detail while effectively communicating the broader vision to non-financial stakeholders.
