Operations Finance Manager

About the Position:
- As the Operations Finance Manager, you will oversee and guide the financial activities of the Operations Accounting team within the Northern Pellets sector. Your key responsibilities will include supervising, monitoring, and assessing the daily functions of the team while collaborating closely with the Group Finance teams and North America Finance directors.
- In this capacity, you will manage the Operations accounting teams, ensuring the timely and precise delivery of monthly financial reports. You will be tasked with distributing responsibilities evenly among team members and enhancing team performance, as well as evaluating existing practices and proposing improvements.
- Establish strong working relationships with department managers and directors in Northern Pellet Operations, ensuring that financial controls are in place and processes are effectively managed.
- Oversee and manage monthly transactions across all operational accounting areas, including the sales and logistics team, fiber accounting team, and Operations accounting team.
- Collaborate with various teams such as Treasury, Tax, FP&A, and Technical Accounting to guarantee that all departments receive the necessary information for Group accounts and policies.
- Support the annual planning process, five-year strategy, and quarterly forecasting for Northern Pellet Production, including overseeing Joint Venture partnership reporting and quarterly board updates.
Who We Seek:
You should be a Qualified Accountant with over 10 years of experience, preferably a CPA, possessing the ability to convey information effectively to a diverse audience with clarity and impact. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the capability to present and influence at all organizational levels.
Moreover, you should demonstrate effective team management, innovative problem-solving skills, and a readiness to challenge conventional methods and assumptions. A collaborative mindset with high self-awareness and the ability to adapt your influencing style to build relationships, mentor others, and achieve results is crucial.
