GAL AeroStaff Ltd. is a premier staffing agency focused on the aviation and aerospace sectors, providing both temporary and permanent staffing solutions for a variety of technical and general roles.

The position oversees and manages Aircraft Crew Assistants (ACAs) and Team Leads engaged in multiple projects concurrently. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for assigning personnel based on the priorities set by the Operations Manager. Each team member is allocated tasks that align with their skills and qualifications, promoting their growth while ensuring the successful execution of various projects in line with client expectations and timelines. The Supervisor is expected to exemplify professionalism and a strong work ethic, serving as a role model for the team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend, implement, and enhance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support Hangar objectives
  • Guide the team by articulating job expectations; mentoring and providing constructive feedback
  • Ensure that hangars and equipment are kept in optimal condition
  • Act as an inspector, utilizing all relevant licenses and ACA authorities
  • Maintain workflow by overseeing process steps; monitoring tool control and equipment usage
  • Fulfill production plans by scheduling and delegating tasks to personnel
  • Uphold quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment
  • Encourage and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage in the Safety Management System (SMS) to promote a secure workplace

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as an M2 ACA
  • A minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity
  • Ability to interpret engineering schematics and technical maintenance documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Thorough understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS)

Work Environment:

  • Engagement on the hangar floor
  • Shift work may be necessary
  • Involves desk work on computers
  • Overtime may be required
