Role Overview:

The Technical Specialist in Real Property Management is responsible for delivering intricate real estate management services that facilitate the execution of projects and programs related to Client-Partner real estate.

This role involves acting as a technical expert, overseeing facility management, maintenance, energy efficiency initiatives, capital renewal strategies, and real estate development planning.

The incumbent will coordinate activities for multifaceted projects, conduct research, perform assessments, and manage relationships with Client-Partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute complex real estate project tasks, including asset assessments, facility evaluations, lease and land acquisition support, technical reviews, strategic planning, and development documentation.
- Research, analyze, and formulate significant policies, standards, directives, and performance metrics.
- Create operational requirement statements for facility management, prepare business cases, and conduct necessary investigations.

- Develop training programs in real property management, establish a Real Property Management Framework, and analyze options for organizational change management.

- Implement and oversee real property management initiatives, including preventive and demand maintenance administration, as well as energy programs to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability of buildings and systems.

- Design information management tools to monitor new reporting requirements and track real property data effectively.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards in alignment with corporate and Client-Partner expectations, while staying updated on best practices, trends, and legislation in real estate, land use, and facility management.

- Engage in maintenance planning and assessment, with knowledge of Building Information Modelling and Computer-Aided Design considered an asset.
- Apply project and risk management principles to enhance operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:
- Minimum: A college diploma in land use planning, engineering, architecture, facility/property management, or a related field, accompanied by five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: A university degree in one of the aforementioned fields and/or additional training in project management; proficiency in relevant software and operating systems.

In this role, you will work in a typical office environment with occasional travel, and some responsibilities may take place on construction sites.
