POSITION SUMMARY
The Real Estate and Development Division is seeking a skilled Real Estate Consultant – Property Management to become part of our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

In the role of Real Estate Consultant, you will offer specialized knowledge in the domains of strategic portfolio management and will oversee various real estate functions and responsibilities related to Built Asset Management. Your duties will include conducting a range of analyses, inspections, and reporting aimed at enhancing real estate strategies in alignment with the NCC's Real Estate and Development portfolio. Furthermore, you will lead internal teams in the planning, design, and execution of portfolio goals concerning the strategic management of properties. Additionally, as a Real Estate Consultant, you will guide a cross-functional team to facilitate the achievement of the NCC's major project objectives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from an accredited post-secondary institution with a relevant focus in real estate asset management, engineering, building science, or a suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in providing real estate consulting services, including:

• Leading and overseeing the management of capital planning and asset management initiatives;

• Coordinating and managing inspection programs for built assets;

• Advising senior management on the prioritization of capital budgets related to built assets.

KNOWLEDGE

• Understanding of principles and theories related to asset management, maintenance, and investment analysis to support sustainable asset management and long-term capital planning.

• Familiarity with project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.

SKILLS

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while simultaneously working on various projects.

• Capacity to think strategically, evaluate complex information and situations, formulate recommendations and solutions, and negotiate and implement future actions.

• Competence in providing leadership and management for projects.

COMPETENCIES

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant industry certifications in asset management.

• Experience with Yardi and VTS software.

• Knowledge of building systems, infrastructure, and the real estate sector.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily operating in a controlled office setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.

• Regular travel to and inspection of properties managed by the NCC.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.

• Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB.

• Valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver's license (or provincial equivalent) required.

• The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the workplace.

• The National Capital Commission promotes a hybrid and flexible work environment, with all employees currently required to work on-site at least two (2) days per week.
