POSITION SUMMARY
The Real Estate and Development Division is seeking a skilled Real Estate Asset Management Specialist to become a part of our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

In the capacity of a Real Estate Asset Management Specialist, you will oversee various real estate operations and responsibilities associated with Built Asset Management. Your role will involve conducting diverse analyses, inspections, and reporting aimed at real estate strategies that support the NCC's Real Estate and Development portfolio. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams for the planning, design, and execution of portfolio objectives related to strategic asset management of properties. Furthermore, as a Real Estate Asset Management Specialist, you will engage with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate the delivery of the NCC's major project priorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a relevant specialization in real estate asset management, engineering, building science, or a suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience delivering professional services in real estate asset management, including:

• Addressing issues related to real property management, including strategic investment plans, asset management, or portfolio planning.

• Negotiating and/or drafting real property-related contracts, documents, and agreements.

• Researching, organizing, analyzing, and summarizing information from various sources related to property maintenance and operations.

KNOWLEDGE

• Understanding of asset and portfolio management principles, base building systems, commissioning and decommissioning of operational real estate assets, project management, and best practices related to real property.

• Familiarity with real property financial/investment analysis.

SKILLS

• Ability to assess complex issues, identify areas of concern, propose alternatives, and exercise sound judgment.

• Capability to create and maintain databases of information pertinent to real estate assets and the operational portfolio.

• Proficiency in providing support to project leadership and management activities.

COMPETENCIES

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in providing advice, guidance, and services to employees, managers, and/or clients on real property matters.

• Background in project management.

• Experience in developing performance measurement metrics.

• Knowledge of building engineering systems.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Primarily operating in a controlled office setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.

• Regularly traveling to and inspecting properties owned and managed by the NCC.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain Secret security clearance.

• Linguistic profile: Bilingual BBB, or Unilingual English or French.

• Must hold a valid Ontario unrestricted G class driver's license (or provincial equivalent).

• The selected candidate must reside within a commutable distance from the workplace.
