What is the Opportunity?
As a Regional Director, Commercial Mortgage Finance, you will lead a team of Commercial Mortgage Associate Directors that specialize in providing commercial real estate financing and advisory services to business clients around income-producing properties. You will work closely with business partners and their clients to deliver commercial real estate financing solutions. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team provides sound and appropriate commercial real estate structuring and credit solutions. You will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and coaching your team to become specialists in commercial real estate finance. You will be accountable for driving commercial mortgage solutions, client experience, business performance, portfolio quality, and employee engagement. You will help develop and execute market strategies in the respective markets your teams support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching to a team of Commercial Mortgage Associate Directors to effectively underwrite commercial credit.
- Collaborate with business partners to structure and deliver credit submissions to risk management.
- Maintain portfolio quality oversight through proactive portfolio management routines.
- Maintain robust practice management routines with business partners.
- Maintain ongoing and effective communication with risk management partners.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial financial services experience or 5+ years of direct commercial mortgage lending experience.
- Previous experience managing and leading a team.
- Demonstrated performance to deliver on mandated objectives.
- Travel required to support the team and business partners in the respective markets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in credit underwriting real estate transactions.
- Experience in real estate banking.
