Job Summary

As a Senior Mortgage Originator, Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end commercial mortgage transactions. You will originate and underwrite transactions for income-producing commercial properties, through to funding and securitization, and contribute to a differentiated client experience by offering solutions to meet clients' business and financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Originate and underwrite income-producing commercial properties with a commercial finance perspective for ultimate securitization
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal partners, rating agencies, and industry partners
  • Re-underwrite commercial mortgages on the bank's balance sheet for contribution to securitization pools
  • Contribute to initiatives to launch/improve the commercial mortgage securitization process
  • Participate in industry events to stay current on real estate market trends
Requirements
  • Must-have:
    • 3+ years of experience in commercial mortgages (underwriting, documentation, servicing, or securitization)
    • Understanding and knowledge of commercial real estate markets, including multiple property types and commercial finance requirements
    • Strong attention to detail, financial, and analytical skills
    • Ability to build relationships and work well with internal and external partners
    • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Nice to have:
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Commercial real estate cash flow modeling experience
