We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Portfolio Management to lead our Commercial Finance team at EQ Bank | Equitable Bank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing a $6B portfolio of real estate secured facilities and leading a team of credit professionals in the management and oversight of these assets.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the portfolio is managed in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and priorities.
- Credit Risk Assessment: Establish and oversee procedures to ensure thorough credit risk assessment and alignment with the Bank's risk appetite.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of credit professionals, providing support, guidance, and ongoing training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients, ensuring a superior customer experience and understanding of their needs.
- Education: Post-secondary education in business or finance, MBA/CFA and/or CPA designation preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years commercial/construction mortgage experience with 4 years of management experience.
- Skills: Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to inspire a team to work toward goals and objectives, sound technical knowledge of commercial lending, financial statement analysis, and factors affecting the Canadian commercial lending environment.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented individual with high integrity, proven ability to thrive in a constantly changing environment, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills.
