Strategic Account Executive for Enterprises

Position Overview:

As a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive at Databricks, you will leverage your extensive sales expertise to engage with large-scale enterprise clients. Your ability to drive innovation and facilitate change through a deep understanding of customer needs will be crucial in advancing sales opportunities and shortening decision-making timelines.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present a comprehensive territory strategy within the initial 90 days.
  • Engage with CIOs, IT leaders, line-of-business executives, and key stakeholders.
  • Successfully close new business while nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Identify and capitalize on quick wins while managing longer, more intricate sales processes.
  • Surpass activity, pipeline, and revenue objectives.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, including use cases, timelines, next steps, and forecasts in Salesforce.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to deliver value to clients.
  • Advocate for Databricks' enterprise cloud data platform, powered by Apache Spark.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction across all engagements.
  • Prioritize sales opportunities and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop a strategic success plan both internally at Databricks and externally with your clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an early-stage company with a proven track record of success.
  • Field sales experience in big data, cloud solutions, or SaaS.
  • Established relationships with CIOs, program managers, and key decision-makers.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex cloud technologies.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience consistently exceeding sales targets in the enterprise sector.
  • Proven success in acquiring new clients while managing existing accounts.
  • Familiarity with Spark and big data concepts is preferred.
  • Strong passion for cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
