Sr. Business Development Consultant - Customs Brokerage

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Business Development Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new client relationships and generating revenue within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) market.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with potential clients in the customs brokerage, trade consulting, domestic, and international air & ocean freight forwarding sectors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through a combination of lead generation, networking, and direct sales efforts.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions that address their specific challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations and pricing specialists, to ensure seamless proposal development and client onboarding.
  • Present compelling proposals to clients, effectively communicate the value proposition of our services, and negotiate favorable agreements.
  • Maintain a comprehensive CRM database to track prospect activity, client interactions, and sales pipeline progress.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development or outside sales within the customs brokerage, trade consulting, or freight forwarding industries.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain management and logistics operations, with a strong understanding of international air & ocean transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
