This is an exciting opportunity to join the Alberta Health Services team as an Occupational Therapist II - Program Development Specialist. As a key member of the Prehabilitation Coordination Team, you will play a vital role in the development and delivery of provincial, virtual Prehabilitation patient services.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of clinical intake for the Prehabilitation Program, incorporating an evidence-informed approach.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary PCT Team to ensure safe, efficient, and effective client care.
- Provide supervision of students and team members as assigned.
- Make day-to-day clinical decisions on patient/family needs regarding assessment, intervention, discharge, and follow-up.
- Participate in program development and operational planning, representing the department on committees or programs.
- Make decisions on staffing level requirements, workflow, and caseload priorities in collaboration with managers and other healthcare providers.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Experience working on a virtual team is preferred.
- Connect Care experience with knowledge of referral workflows, data reporting is an asset.
