At Seasons Retirement Communities, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. We're seeking a compassionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Caregiver and Activity Coordinator.

Job Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to plan, organize, and direct the delivery of diverse social services and special events. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the healthcare or hospitality industry and a working knowledge of activation programs and mobility restrictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct the delivery of diverse social services and special events
  • Develop and implement activation programs to promote resident engagement and well-being
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure resident care and safety
  • Provide emotional support and empathy to residents and their families
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of resident activities and services
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and services

Requirements:

  • Covid-19 vaccination is mandatory
  • Experience working in an environment in the healthcare or hospitality industry and working knowledge of activation programs and mobility restrictions
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the delivery of diverse social services and special events
  • Empathy for and understanding of the needs of the elderly and disabled, including persons living with dementia
  • Valid Class G/Class 5 driver's license in good standing (Ontario/Alberta if applicable)
  • Clean Criminal Record
  • Successful completion of a CPR/First Aid certification (if applicable)
  • Successful completion of Safe Food Handler's certification (if applicable)
  • Successful completion of Smart Serve/Pro Serve certification (Ontario/Alberta for management roles)
  • Relevant professional experience in recreation and/or equivalent certificate
