### Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Therapeutic Recreationist to join our Palliative Care Program team at Hamilton Health Sciences. As a member of our healthcare team, you will use your specialized skills to promote and maintain the highest quality of life for our patients.

### Key Responsibilities

* Conduct formal assessments and develop treatment plans to meet the unique needs of our patients
* Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive and compassionate care
* Utilize effective strategies to address the physical, emotional, and social needs of our patients
* Develop and implement creative programs to enhance the quality of life for our patients

### Qualifications

* Degree or diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a focus on therapeutic aspects
* Minimum 1 year experience working with chronically ill patients
* Eligibility for certification with a Therapeutic Recreation Association
* Current first aid and CPR certification
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
