Position Overview:
As a Sustainability Technologist specializing in Aggregate Resources, you will join our Environmental Sustainability Services team to develop, manage, and execute aggregate-related projects for our clients. Your role will primarily be office-based, with occasional fieldwork and travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with management and the aggregate portfolio leader to enhance the portfolio, ensuring ongoing growth and advancement of technical capabilities through successful project execution.
  • Utilize effective project management methodologies, including change management, team leadership, and client relationship maintenance to foster long-term business partnerships.
  • Prepare proposals and manage project execution, including obtaining necessary approvals, compliance monitoring, and liaising with clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluate project needs and client requirements for the development and management of work plans, budgets, and timelines.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Guide staff in completing applications, reports, and fieldwork, including environmental assessments and reclamation plans.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in submitting applications through digital regulatory systems.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to enhance their technical and project management skills.
  • Review documents at a senior technical level in accordance with company standards.
  • Engage in technical and safety programs, quality assurance, and quality control initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to facilitate growth and cross-training opportunities for employees.
  • Provide detailed insights into staffing and workload needs to ensure effective project execution.
  • Support the Environmental Sustainability Services group and pursue opportunities for group development.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience in managing aggregate projects.
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in environmental sciences or a related field.
  • Eligibility for membership in a professional organization.
  • Experience in project tracking and cost management.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and guidelines related to aggregate resources.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation and its implications.
  • Basic understanding of ecological factors such as wildlife and vegetation.
  • A client-focused mindset with a commitment to providing innovative solutions.
  • A proactive approach to adopting new technologies for environmental assessments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • A valid driver's license.
