We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sustainability Consultant to join our team at Environmental Resources Management (ERM). As a key member of our team, you will work closely with senior leaders to advance our go-to-market activities and deliver high-quality projects to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement enterprise-wide management systems, programs, policies, and standards to support our clients' sustainability goals.
- Provide expert guidance on responsible mining standards and associated frameworks, including IRMA, TSM, ASI, Copper Mark, RMI, ICMM, and ResponsibleSteel.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of critical mineral supply chain due diligence processes and related drivers, including emerging legislation and stakeholder-led initiatives.
- Interact with clients at various levels, including corporate, division, and site levels, to deliver presentations, trainings, and workshop facilitation.
- Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations, ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
- Analyze complex data, trends, and concepts to provide clear and concise takeaways and executive summaries.
- Develop perspectives on demand drivers, integrated services, go-to-market campaigns, and proposals for existing and new clients.
- Maintain and cultivate client relationships, representing a full range of ERM services and staying knowledgeable of trends in the environment, health, safety, and sustainability fields.
- 8-10 years of professional experience in a relevant field, with a strong background in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating clear deliverables for various audiences.
- Direct experience developing and implementing corporate strategy, organizational design, and/or process optimization.
- Experience or working knowledge of mining/metal supply chain and industry requirements.
- Experience with data analysis, modeling, and visualization preferred.
- Strong MS Office computer skills, with an advanced understanding of PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting tight deadlines, and traveling to clients as needed.
- Ability to maintain flexibility and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with a hard science preferred.
- MBA or joint master's degree with an environment-related program preferred.
- Lead Auditor/Practitioner status in ISO 14001, SA 8000, APSCA, CSCA is preferred.
- Fluent in either Spanish or French, both written and spoken.
- Professional experience in the jewelry, refiners/smelters, or mining industries.
