Business Intelligence Systems Specialist

We are seeking a knowledgeable Business Intelligence Systems Specialist to become part of our team. This role involves collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to design and implement data pipelines and models that support various analytics and business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a proactive safety advocate, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental protocols.
- Collaborate with application owners and stakeholders to enhance data accessibility and visualization.
- Utilize ETL tools and database management systems, including Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Integration Services, to aggregate and transform data.
- Contribute to the creation of data models that prepare data for business intelligence applications.
- Execute data aggregation across diverse warehousing models, such as OLAP cubes and star schemas, for business intelligence objectives.
- Integrate security considerations into design processes.
- Follow information systems control policies throughout design, development, and testing phases.
- Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Identify and resolve application-related issues.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- At least three years of experience in data analysis and preparation, particularly with large unstructured datasets.
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or SQL Data Warehouse.
- Familiarity with SQL scripting, Python, and R programming languages.
- Experience in database development and data modeling.
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI, QlikView, and Excel.
- Proven ability to develop reports, dashboards, and KPI visualizations across various domains.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of business drivers and challenges faced by clients.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical users.
