Nanaimo Joe's Enterprise Ltd. - Kitchen Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Nanaimo Joe's Enterprise Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that food is prepared and served on time.
  • Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Order and manage food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our culinary needs.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet our culinary standards.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide training to kitchen staff on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required: Estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Prepare budget and cost estimates for kitchen operations, ensuring that we are managing our resources effectively.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we are providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, ensuring that we are managing our resources effectively.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, ensuring that we are meeting our culinary standards and managing our resources effectively.

Requirements:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen supervisory role.
  • Permanent employment opportunity.
  • 36 to 40 hours per week of work.
  • English as the primary language of work.
