Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented File Maintenance Clerk to join our team at Lake Country Co-op. As a key member of our Home Centre team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, processing transactions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer daily, weekly, and monthly procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions
  • Verify and reconcile cash, credit card, and other transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain customer charge accounts, vendor files, and master files to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Perform inventory control, including asset protection, ordering, and receiving, to ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory levels
  • Process data entry, including seated work and significant use of a computerized workstation, to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
  • Business diploma, customer service experience, and previous file maintenance experience considered assets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with minimum direction, producing high-quality accurate work while meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and computerized accounting and point of sale systems
  • Meticulous, thorough, and precise in work
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with ability to work collaboratively within a team and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and individuals
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work with limited supervision
  • Fulfill physical job requirements, including manual labor for inventory counts
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
