Responsibilities
  • Support Lake Country Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members' lives with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Deliver legendary customer experiences by addressing member needs professionally and efficiently, demonstrating a high level of professionalism to navigate and resolve complex customer account concerns.
  • Administer start and end of day, end of period, end of month, and end of year procedures.
  • Complete end of day processing, including balancing cash up, keying into accounting systems, verifying, reconciling, and preparing bank deposits.
  • Maintain customer charge accounts daily and process associated gateway transactions accurately and efficiently daily with strong balancing controls.
  • Maintain master files, customer files, and vendor files for the location.
  • Be responsible for inventory control, including asset protection, ordering and receiving, price changes, and daily reconciliation reports; maintain the perpetual inventory report and complete regular stock checks.
  • Input pricing for upcoming sales, perform price verification processes, and maintain all signage on the floor.
  • Complete large amounts of data entry, with seated work, and significant use of a computerized workstation.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment; a business diploma, customer service experience, and previous file maintenance experience would be considered assets.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with minimum direction, producing high-quality accurate work while meeting critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Honest and trustworthy, striving to be the best in what you do.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and computerized accounting and point of sale systems, with strong data entry skills.
  • Meticulous, thorough, and precise in your work.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude combined with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and to maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Take initiative, prioritize tasks, solve problems, and work with limited supervision.
  • Fulfill physical job requirements – manual labor is required while performing inventory counts.
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
