Egis Canada is seeking a skilled Hazardous Materials/EH&S Project Coordinator to join our team in North America. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating hazardous materials and environmental health risks in buildings.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental technology, occupational health and safety, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in hazardous materials and occupational hygiene assessments. You will be responsible for performing building assessments, coordinating field work, and preparing technical proposals and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing building assessments for designated substances and hazardous materials
  • Assisting project managers with project tasks, schedules, and deadlines
  • Coordinating field work with client-designated points of contact
  • Preparing technical proposals and reports detailing findings and recommendations
  • Conducting on-site inspections during removal of hazardous materials or demolition
  • Performing inspections and air testing to support abatement of hazardous building materials
  • Peer reviewing work before submitting to clients
  • Assisting with client relationships, marketing, and business development
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the team
  • Attending meetings with managers and clients to review projects and estimate costs
  • Communicating with clients and employees
  • Promoting team engagement and collaboration
  • Assisting in training and instruction for junior staff
  • Assisting with accounts receivables and invoicing
