Drafting Specialist

X&H Construction and Renovation is seeking a skilled Draftsperson to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs and drawings, developing design sketches, and preparing construction specifications, costs, and material estimates.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Develop and prepare design sketches to communicate ideas and concepts
- Prepare construction specifications, costs, and material estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Prepare contracts and tenders to secure new business opportunities
- Write technical reports and specifications to document project progress and outcomes
- Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate project pricing
- Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to facilitate project execution
- Examine drawings for conformity and errors to ensure quality and accuracy
- Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to establish product requirements and ensure project success
- Lead and instruct groups to achieve project goals and objectives
This is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. You will be required to handle heavy loads, work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and stand for extended periods.
Requirements- 2 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized and able to work in a team environment
- Ability to distinguish between colors and sound discrimination
