About the Role:
The University of Toronto is seeking an Experiential Learning Officer to join the Experiential Education Unit in the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic and Dean. This is a full-time term position ending May 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct labour market analysis to inform program and partnership development
- Develop and revise business methods to support employment services activities and objectives
- Ensure contracts and agreements are consistent with University standards and guidelines
- Stay informed on policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines
- Implement plans to support the development of work-integrated learning opportunities for students
- Respond to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirect as appropriate
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of related experience in an experiential learning environment
- Experience matching, placing, and supporting students in for-credit student placements
- Experience in academic advising and providing guidance to students
- Experience and work in student placement
- Experience in program development and evaluation
- Familiarity with database management systems and ROSI
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Ability to understand and apply complex community and university policies and regulations
- Ability to positively represent the University in the community and to all members of the University community
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines and priorities, and appreciate and interact well with diverse personalities and cultural backgrounds
