Opportunity Summary:
The Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy (ISUP) at UTM is committed to advancing students' academic capabilities and enhancing faculty teaching methodologies through innovative and inclusive programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing elements of educational programs.
- Building and sustaining networks to enhance collaboration and capacity.
- Conducting thorough analyses and evaluations to guide program development.
- Assessing learning outcomes to inform program enhancements.
- Investigating curriculum trends and preparing summary reports for educators.
- Advising faculty on effective curriculum development and delivery strategies.
- Leading educational workshops and seminars.
- Providing specialized resources to a group of experts.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in education, disability studies, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of universal design for learning (UDL) principles.
- Strong familiarity with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA) Act.
- Proven understanding of systemic accessibility challenges.
- Experience in university-level teaching, program planning, facilitation, and curriculum development.
- Engagement in scholarly work related to educational development or UDL.
- Commitment to supporting instructors from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership in a relevant professional organization.
- Experience in post-secondary education teaching.
