Position Overview:

As a Senior IT Risk and Compliance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting a leading pension investment fund through its significant technology transformation and modernization efforts. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth and enhancement of a critical function within the organization, engaging in numerous innovative and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with IT teams to gain insights into their operational processes, manage risks, and provide guidance on risk-related concerns.
  • Develop and refine IT Governance documentation, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to bolster Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments for both existing processes and new IT initiatives.
  • Assist in defining and maintaining IT Risk metrics and dashboards.
  • Design and implement controls in partnership with IT teams to mitigate identified risks.
  • Lead compliance initiatives, including performing gap assessments for new and existing policies and standards.
  • Foster a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Governance, IT Risk & Compliance, and IT Audit.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in creating and/or reviewing IT Governance documents such as policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with control and risk frameworks, conducting compliance and risk assessments, designing controls, and managing mitigation projects.
  • Experience in developing and reporting performance and risk metrics, including KPIs, KRIs, SLAs, and OKR reporting for executive leadership.
  • Understanding of risk methodologies, frameworks, and practices (e.g., ISO standards, COBIT, CIS, COSO, NIST).
  • Technical proficiency in technology platforms, including operating systems and databases.
  • Experience in the Financial Services sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure and Amazon Web Services, is a plus.
  • Experience working in an agile environment encompassing software development, infrastructure, and shared services.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceNow GRC platform is preferred.
