Purpose

As a key member of the Governance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of accountability and transparency within our Compliance Program. You will collaborate across various functions to implement Risk Management activities that significantly influence the unit. Key Responsibilities

Enhance strategic decision-making by developing and refining reporting dashboards and impactful presentations for senior executives, driving significant actions based on strategic insights and adherence to comprehensive corporate policies. Improve initiative effectiveness by establishing and implementing success metrics that accurately gauge and support strategic outcomes. Streamline non-financial risk assessments for Compliance, including Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NIRA), and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), ensuring a robust and proactive risk management approach. Uphold policy integrity by meticulously maintaining Policy Standards and managing the Global Document repository with accuracy. Drive reporting innovation by identifying and executing automation and standardization opportunities, setting new benchmarks for operational efficiency. Provide actionable insights through comprehensive data analysis, informing strategic decisions that align with regulatory requirements and the Bank's overarching objectives. Collaborate with leadership to review and update Global Compliance & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation, integrating insights from various risk domains to ensure relevance and accuracy. Embody the Bank's vision by incorporating its risk appetite and cultural values into daily responsibilities and decision-making processes, reflecting the principles that drive the Bank's success. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of daily business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk. Qualifications

Professional with over 3 years of experience in banking or financial services. A university degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics is preferred. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information, particularly in quantitative and financial analysis. Proficient in data collection, querying, and graphical reporting. Capable of visualizing information and summarizing it clearly and concisely, adapting communication for senior management. Expert user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize and manipulate data effectively. Detail-oriented, ambitious, and a top performer who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment. Skilled in managing multiple tasks to meet aggressive deadlines. Experience with PowerBI and/or Advanced SharePoint Site Management is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
