As a key member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for various billing functions, collaborating closely with Project Managers and Sector Leads to ensure accurate contract documentation, change orders, and service-related billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and oversee project setups in Deltek, ensuring budgets and backlogs are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compile and prepare comprehensive final invoice packages, including both draft and final invoices for all billable projects, along with necessary supporting documentation.
- Distribute final invoices and maintain organized billing folders containing all relevant documents such as contracts, change orders, and monthly invoices, adhering to established processes.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance client billing, investigating any unbilled items to maximize billing potential during each period.
- Conduct variance investigations and submit detailed reports to management.
- Generate Progress Project Reports as required.
- Advise accounts payable team members on client billing matters, including consultant invoicing and reimbursable expenses, while collaborating with accounts receivable on outstanding project billings.
- Facilitate project closures upon completion.
- Prepare specialized project analyses for Sector Leads, Project Managers, and Billing Management.
- Compile necessary information for both internal and external audits as needed.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Billing Manager.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with local offices.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting, specifically in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Billing.
- Enrollment in a CPA program is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant computer applications.
- Experience in a dynamic, deadline-driven office environment.
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision software is a significant advantage.
