Annual Salary Range: Exempt Band 5, MIN $98, MED $116, MAX $133,300.00

Salary placement is based on an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience, with consideration for market standards and internal equity.

Your responsibilities will include...

As the Manager of Funding Strategy, you will report to the Senior Manager of Capital Finance and oversee all aspects of the funding framework that underpins BC Transit's extensive long-term capital initiatives. Your role will involve:

  • Providing strategic leadership on funding models and approaches.
  • Developing intricate financial models for various investment scenarios.
  • Negotiating and securing funding sources.
  • Ensuring compliance with funding agreements and managing invoicing and fund collection.

You will also play a crucial role in finance transformation initiatives, including systems implementation, process automation, and change management, aligning with the division's strategic objectives.

We value continuous learning and believe that the following qualifications will contribute to success in this role:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Previous leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Expertise in complex financial analysis and analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with financial systems.
  • Experience with government funding agreements is advantageous.
  • A university degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CFA designation is a plus.
