Position Overview
The Senior Nursing Practice Lead for Subacute Care is a pivotal role that emphasizes excellence in nursing through advanced expertise in clinical care, leadership, and the advancement of nursing practices. This position will be instrumental in addressing complex client scenarios, developing and implementing clinical guidelines, and enhancing nursing practices based on evidence-based research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in clinical care and nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive system changes.
  • Facilitate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing initiatives.
  • Support the clinical team with consultation and guidance.
  • Engage in research and evaluation to enhance nursing practices.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse education program.
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Active registration with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in acute care, particularly in geriatrics, orthopedics, or rehabilitation.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems and current trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to recognize and address complex challenges effectively.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Certification in Central Venous Catheter management.
  • Knowledge of program evaluation methodologies.
  • Specialty nursing certifications are an asset.
