About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse with Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting health and well-being in the community. Your expertise will be utilized to assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients, families, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services
- Deliver direct nursing care, including wound care, ostomy care, and palliative support
- Teach and counsel patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
- Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 2 years of Home Care experience, experience working with acute clients and/or long-term clients, experience in providing case management services, Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) certification in Gerontology
