Position Overview
The Senior Nursing Practice Lead for Subacute Care plays a crucial role in promoting nursing excellence through advanced clinical knowledge and leadership. This position involves:
  • Supporting complex client needs and identifying trends in care.
  • Leading the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive system changes.
  • Evaluating initiatives to enhance nursing practices based on evidence.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Nursing Practice Lead, you will:
  • Utilize your expertise in rehabilitation, geriatrics, and orthopedics to provide high-quality care.
  • Engage with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to foster collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership and facilitate group processes effectively.
  • Employ research methodologies to inform practice and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A completed accredited Registered Nurse education program.
  • A Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Active registration or eligibility for a practice permit with the relevant nursing regulatory body.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
  • A minimum of three years of full-time clinical experience in acute care, particularly in geriatrics, orthopedics, or rehabilitation.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Certification in Central Venous Catheter management.
  • Specialty nursing certifications relevant to the field.
