This is an exciting opportunity to lead clinical practice, develop and implement evidence-based guidelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive quality care and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead clinical practice in the Subacute department, promoting excellence in nursing care and advancing the profession through education and research.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to drive quality care and patient safety initiatives.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop plans to address gaps in care, improving patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience in acute care, focusing on geriatrics, orthopedics, or rehabilitation.
  • Proven leadership and clinical expertise, with a strong track record of improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy skills, with experience using electronic health records and other healthcare software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management and change management knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and lead change from an evidence-based perspective.
  • Central Venous Catheter certification.
  • PROSCI Change Management certificate.
  • Alberta Health Services Improvement Way (AIW) Green Belt certification.
