Junior Tax Consultant

We are on the lookout for a meticulous and professional Junior Tax Consultant to join our team, responsible for managing Canadian and US tax obligations.Your Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly sales tax returns for both US and Canadian jurisdictions.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of all tax accounts.
- Oversee the Sales Tax System, ensuring all Exemption Certificates are current and accurate.
- Research and provide expert guidance on sales tax inquiries, both internally and externally.
- Support tax audits for annual financial assessments and government inquiries.
- Facilitate new tax filing registrations and business licenses as necessary.
- Complete additional tax forms as required.
- Assist in the preparation of:
- Quarterly tax provisions
- Annual Canadian Tax Returns
- Information for US Corporate Tax Returns
- Transfer pricing documentation
- Respond to governmental inquiries regarding tax filings, registrations, and audits.
- Develop written policies, procedures, and controls related to taxation.
- Offer recommendations for process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience.
- A foundational understanding of indirect tax and Canadian corporate income tax.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to collaborate closely with the Tax Team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Capacity to manage large volumes of financial data.
- Aptitude for learning various systems quickly.
