Senior Tax Consultant

We are looking for a seasoned and proficient Tax Consultant to become a vital part of our organization. The Tax Consultant will be tasked with delivering tax strategy, compliance, and advisory services to our clientele, in addition to supervising and developing junior staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tax strategy and compliance services to clients, encompassing both corporate and personal income tax filings.
- Investigating and interpreting tax legislation and regulations to offer clients informed tax guidance and planning solutions.
- Overseeing and coordinating the preparation of intricate tax filings.
- Supervising and developing junior staff, providing mentorship and training on tax-related issues.
- Identifying and pursuing new business avenues, while fostering and maintaining client relationships.
- Advocating for clients in interactions with tax authorities and representing the firm in professional networks and community initiatives.
- Staying informed about the latest tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in Canadian corporate and personal income tax.
- CPA certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of Canadian tax legislation and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring junior staff.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in tax software.
