About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Tax Senior Manager to join our team at RSM Canada LLP. As a key member of our tax practice, you will play a critical role in providing expert tax consulting and compliance services to our clients with international operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage multiple cross-border tax engagements, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and case law, and apply this expertise to complex cross-border tax situations.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and expertise in international tax.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working closely with partners and colleagues to develop and implement growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different jurisdictions to deliver seamless and effective services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and communicate these changes to clients and colleagues.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or large national, regional, or local accounting firm.
  • CPA designation or JD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex tax issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and partners.
  • Ability to travel within Alberta, with occasional travel to other provinces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters of Taxation, Law Degree, or Enrolled in CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience working with international clients, with a strong understanding of cross-border tax issues.
