Role Overview:

As a Client Engagement Specialist, you will be instrumental in cultivating member-centric advisory relationships. Your responsibilities will include onboarding both retail and business members sourced through various channels, identifying their needs, and presenting tailored solutions. This position involves managing smaller accounts and delivering general transactional assistance. You will also facilitate access to essential lending and investment products and services, such as unsecured loans, mortgage renewals, broker mortgage onboarding, term deposits, and Visa offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and nurture relationship-building conversations with new retail and business members.
  • Enhance member relationships by utilizing Financial Health Checks, managing pipelines, and effectively referring to Relationship Managers and Line of Business Specialists.
  • Oversee the advice center's responsibilities for opening new business accounts and processing requests for changes in signing officers.
  • Assist members in accessing lending products by producing small unsecured loans and facilitating broker mortgage sign-ups and renewals.
  • Support Member Service Specialists by handling front-line transactions as required.
  • Provide omni-channel assistance for the Member Service Centre by addressing member inquiries as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 (or equivalent).
  • A diploma or degree in Business Administration or Marketing is an asset.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial services setting, with exposure to lending and investment products, as well as member needs assessment.
  • Preferred experience or knowledge of mutual funds.
  • Possession of a mutual funds sales license or willingness to obtain one within 12 months.
  • Prior experience in a professional sales environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and familiarity with financial products, services, and retail lending.
  • Proven ability to confidently provide advice in diverse member situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in technology and systems.
