About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rail Billing Coordinator to join our team at Irving Oil. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate creation and audit of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document Creation: Create shipping documents for all railcar movements, ensuring attention to detail and compliance with TDG regulations.
  • Marine Billing: Create Marine Billing documents, following strict Marine billing processes and compliance requirements.
  • Incident Reporting: Create Cintellate incidents as required, including fact gathering and initial investigation.
  • Record Validation: Validate and retain records of outbound and inbound shipping, ensuring compliance with TDG regulations and daily rail performance records.
  • Reporting: Create various reports, collecting and manipulating time-sensitive data to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Compliance Review: Review and audit inbound and outbound shipping documents to ensure compliant documentation is retained.
  • Problem Solving: Engage with available resources to problem-solve non-compliant shipping documents and initial investigations.
  • Compliance Verification: Conduct daily reviews and approvals of inbound & outbound rail shipping documents, confirming compliance with TDG regulations in both Canada & the US.
  • Process Improvement: Complete process and procedure reviews, develop process improvement documentation, and make process improvement recommendations.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary education in the field of Business Administration.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience in transportation, operations, or logistics.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines, strong attention to detail, strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Excel, and strong analytical skills.
