About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **Senior Business Development Manager** to join our **National Accounts Group** at National Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of specialists dedicated to expanding our business clients' portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Ensure healthy team management by creating a motivating climate that reflects your qualities as an accomplished leader.
  • Performance Management: Maximize staff contribution by setting performance goals and conducting regular follow-ups.
  • Organizational Development: Support organizational changes and contribute to the development of your team through a multidisciplinary team approach.
  • Human Resource Development: Anticipate human resource development needs based on organizational changes and the Bank's strategic directions, and fill them through personalized coaching.
  • Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, grow your commercial clientele, and establish business development strategies.
  • Client Relationships: Negotiate the terms of agreements with clients, ensuring they meet risk management standards and desired profitability criteria.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay abreast of the changing competitive market to ensure appropriate pricing/structuring of new transactions.
  • Risk Management: Understand market conditions that impact clients/maintain a strong knowledge of general economic conditions to ensure all risks are managed appropriately.
About the Team

The **National Accounts Group** is composed of approximately 20 finance professionals and operates in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.

You will report to the **Executive Vice President & Head of the National Accounts Group**.

Requirements
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in business development and sales in the financial sector.
  • Bachelor's degree and ten years of experience, or Master's degree and eight years of experience.
  • Solid experience in personnel management.
  • Excellent credit skills, with experience in structuring complex senior debt financings (cash flow loans, private equity, and acquisition financing) as well as experience working in the syndicated loan market.
  • In-depth expertise in financial and business analysis and an understanding of inherent risks.
  • Strong knowledge of loans and auxiliary products and services (cash management, derivatives, etc.) as well as the ability to identify auxiliary business opportunities for existing and potential clients.
  • Established network of professional contacts with medium and large local companies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
