Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Pipeline Integrity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Pipe Integrity - Damage Prevention Encroachment's team, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the development and implementation of our Damage Prevention Programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of damage prevention activities, including third-party damage incidents, unauthorized activities, right-of-way brushing, one-calls, and support for right-of-way field activities
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and implement short- and long-term plans for ongoing improvements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to damage prevention
  • Provide technical leadership in engineering analysis and risk mitigation
  • Mentor junior engineers and students
  • Proactively identify risks and develop strategies to prevent incidents
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders
  • Participate in industry working groups (e.g., CGA, CCGA)

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related engineering or engineering technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Diploma in Engineering Technology
  • Registered, or eligible to be registered, as a professional engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA in good standing
  • Candidates with a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation or a P.Tech. (Eng.) designation with an appropriate scope of practice, with ASET, may be considered at a different level
  • Professional experience in Pipeline Integrity, Project Management, and/or Damage Prevention roles
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a track record of task completion and change leadership
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), time management, decision-making, and negotiation skills
  • Experience in audit, assurance, and regulatory engagements
  • Participation in industry collaboration and working groups
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment
