Casualty and Litigation Claims Expert

Overview of the Role:
As a Claims Adjuster specializing in Casualty and Litigation, you will become an integral part of a proactive team that emphasizes meticulous attention to detail while prioritizing the client experience. The Casualty and Litigation division manages a diverse range of claims across multiple sectors, including Auto, Commercial General Liability, Directors' and Officers', and Professional Liability. Our Claims Adjusters are tasked with conducting thorough investigations, evaluating coverage responsibilities, and assessing damages while collaborating closely with external parties and legal representatives to bring claims to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating intricate claims, including those currently in litigation
- Verifying coverage and executing comprehensive liability investigations
- Compiling detailed file summaries for internal assessments, significant losses, and reinsurance purposes
- Handling challenging communications and delivering clear decisions regarding claims
- Mentoring new team members through job shadowing opportunities
- Providing guidance and support to fellow adjusters within the team
- Effectively organizing a demanding daily workload
- Ensuring an exceptional customer experience
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance-related field or similar discipline
- Current or pursuing the CIP designation
- 7 to 10 years of experience in handling liability claims
- Familiarity with commercial lines is advantageous
- Proficient technical skills in MS Office Suite
- Strong communication abilities with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel
