Overview of the Role:
As a Technical Claims Specialist at Northbridge Financial, you will be an integral part of a vibrant team dedicated to meticulous attention to detail while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Casualty and Litigation division manages a diverse range of claims across multiple business lines, including Auto, Commercial General Liability, Directors' and Officers', and Professional Liability claims. Our specialists are tasked with conducting thorough investigations, evaluating coverage liability, and assessing damages while collaborating closely with third parties and legal counsel to effectively resolve claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjudicating intricate claims, including those currently in litigation.
- Verifying coverage and completing comprehensive liability investigations.
- Drafting detailed file summaries for internal reporting, significant losses, and reinsurance purposes.
- Handling challenging calls and clearly communicating decisions regarding claims.
- Providing mentorship and training to new team members through job shadowing.
- Supporting and guiding fellow adjusters within the team.
- Efficiently managing a busy daily schedule.
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in an insurance-related program or equivalent.
- Current or pursuing the CIP designation.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in handling liability claims.
- Experience with commercial lines is considered an asset.
- Proficient technical skills in MS Office Suite.
- Strong communication abilities with claimants, brokers, and legal representatives.
