Overview of the Role:
As a Casualty and Litigation Claims Expert at Northbridge Financial, you will become an integral part of a proactive team that emphasizes meticulous attention to detail while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The Casualty and Litigation division manages a diverse range of claims across multiple business lines, including Auto, Commercial General Liability, Directors' and Officers', and Professional Liability claims. Our Claims Experts are tasked with conducting thorough investigations, evaluating coverage responsibilities, and assessing damages, all while collaborating closely with third parties and legal representatives to bring claims to resolution.
Your Expertise is Valued:
If you excel in the following areas:
- Evaluating intricate claims, including those in litigation
- Verifying coverage and executing comprehensive liability investigations
- Drafting file summaries for internal reporting, significant losses, and reinsurance purposes
- Handling challenging calls and articulating claims decisions clearly
- Providing mentorship to new team members through job shadowing
- Supporting and guiding fellow adjusters within the team
- Effectively organizing a busy daily schedule
- Delivering an outstanding customer experience
And possess:
- A post-secondary education in an insurance-related program or equivalent
- Current or pursuing the CIP designation
- 7 to 10 years of experience in handling liability claims
- Experience with commercial lines is advantageous
- Proficient technical skills in MS Office Suite
- Strong communication abilities with Claimants, Brokers, and Legal Counsel
