We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Technical Specialist to join our Casualty and Litigation team at Northbridge Financial Corporation. As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in investigating and resolving complex claims, ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely settlements.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and assess complex claims, including those in litigation, to determine coverage and liability
- Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence to support claims decisions
- Prepare detailed file summaries for internal reporting, large loss, and reinsurance purposes
- Communicate effectively with claimants, brokers, and legal counsel to resolve claims efficiently
- Provide training and mentoring to new hires through job shadowing sessions
- Support and collaborate with other adjusters on the team to achieve shared goals
- Manage a busy day-to-day schedule, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance-focused program or related field
- Current or working towards the CIP designation
- 7-10 years of liability claim handling experience
- Experience with commercial lines is an asset
- Strong technical skills with MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
